Our Philosophy

At L'LEVATE DANCE STUDIO, we believe that dance is not just about learning steps, but about self-expression, creativity, and personal growth. We strive to create an environment where our students can explore their passion for dance, develop their skills, and build friendships that will last a lifetime.

Dr. Chantel Price: Owner

 Chantel Price was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. She has been dancing for over 20 years and teaching for 18 years. At the age of six, Chantel began her dance training at the Philadelphia School of Dance Arts (PhilaDanco) in West Philadelphia and studied ballet, jazz, tap, and pointe. At the age of 11 she attending Young Performer Theater Camp where she was introduce to other styles such as modern and hip hop. While attending the camp she meet dancers from Progressive Center for Dance and bonded with them instantly. This is when she decided to further her dance education at Progressive Center for Dance. This school not only gave her the eagerness and willingness to dance, the teachers encouraged and push her to her full potential. She has also won numerous awards and scholarships to different dance program across Philadelphia. After graduating from Roxborough High

 she attended Kutztown University for two years. She joined the Kutztown University dance team "Black Flame". In 2008 she decided to transfer to Pennsylvania State University where she earned a BS in Business. Dancing has always been her passion so in 2009 she decided to follow her dream. In South Philadelphia 2009 Chantel Price Dance Program began teaching students from age 3 & up all styles of dance. In January 2010 she started a modern-jazz dance company called "L'Levate". Also in 2011 she received her MBA from the University of Phoenix. In 2012 Chantel choreographed a dynamic play called "The Wire Monkey" directed and written by Luke Allen. Still following her passion for dance in 2015 she created and started her own dancewear line called L'levate Dancewear. 

 

Chantel's vision is to have a dance program where children can have fun while building there confidence and their craft. She feels that all children have a gift and it needs to be channeled the right way. Chantel's main goal 14 years ago was provide a safe haven and relaxed environment where children can feel appreciated and confident by expressing themselves through the arts. Every student will leave being a triple treat and ready to start their journey.
